Poetry and sweet memories...

eI just came back from a half an hour walk. The weather here in stockholm was wonderfull today evening and just the right temperature for exercising.I walked through one of the many nature walk paths and the breeze bought back many memories to my mind.Listening to dunking hindi movie songs as I briskly walked ahead I remembered my school days. Back then I lived in India and went to a school in a hillstation called Panchagani.
Panchagani could be called the strawberry town of India (by me at least).Thats the only place I saw strwberries as a kid ,for the first time and also plucked them from the small stems that they grew on.
Then there was this jam factory which was and perhaps still is very famous :Mala jams.Apart from all this I thought about how I always wanted to be the best in every subject. And I wanted to be able to do everhting dance, sing, paint, write and be good at studies too.I used to get angry when my dad or anyone else would say that if one tries to do too many things it could end up as the saying goes:-Jack of all trades and master of none. I firmly then and now do NOT believe in that.
It is obvious that everyone right now in this world IS trying to excel at many things.A small example with big meaning would be a common working house wife in India. She works(maybe in a small or big office) thus makes a career, cleans the house, takes care of kids, husband visiting relatives etc.and cooks too.And mind you she is suposed to exel ( be a master) of all the things she does.
Skiping the tragic part of life I jump back to my childhood. And so I used to paint, dance and participate in all extra curricular activities possible.
I suddenly one day had a great urge to write poetry ..I though taht i was good at it. I told my dad that I m writing poetry and also read out a few poems to him. I am not sure what he thoght of them ,but one day one of my teaches came home for tea .During all the talking and all my dad happened to casually mention to him that I write poems.
My teacher made a "hmmm" noise and then challenged me to write a poem that would have each line starting with the alphabet of his fiancees name.
That means the name written vertically and pem goes horizontally. And I did it.I must say I was very proud of myself and gloated over it for quitea few days.My teacher took the poem with him ,but left behind for ame a new hobby. I made a poem book and write poems for all the names and people I came across.
Here is the first one which I wrote my my teacher..the wifes (would be then) name was RENUKA.
Rain drops
Enchanting props
Noding to the breeze
Undoing the bees
Kicking the dust
Adding to natures lust.( I had nearly forgotten this one...)

World peace

I have noticed that whenever a woman cooks she wants her food to look, smell and taste just like the food at the famous restaurant.
While a man generally prefers to have "HOMEMADE" food.
Also have noticed that most of the top chefs are men while most of the prime cooking is done by women. So its just that one like to be like the other. This should be a lesson to learn and for men and women to understand...that both repect and awe each other both in work and otherwise.
There really should not be a competition between the men and women .I do not understand why the men have to always compete with women in getting paid better ,in being called the boss and in being the strong one.
The same goes for women they should not be having a race with the men in bringing home money,or lifitng heavy logs from the forest.
God meant Adam and Eve to live together as a happy family..man and women are supposed to compliment each other in all the aspects and walks of like.Daddy cant give birth nor can mummy grow a long beard and be daddy.
It would be a much more peacefull world if we showed more respect for each other.Accept others capacities and limitations, compliment instead of compete . All of us need to read more childrens stories there moral says united we stand divided we fall! be it at home,at work or out in the bad world where there are too many boundaries aldreday to be takes care of.
